You know that moment when you realize that it is suspiciously silent downstairs - AND there's four little rascals between the ages of 3 and 6 down there? Well, this time it was definitely a false alarm.

The annual rooftop Missions Auction was a success this year, despite it being freezing! Great food, lots of laughs, and excellent fellowship. I can't wait until next year's!

These three-in-one baths are all but extinct, so I had to document this one for posterity.

This girl was positively tickled to have one of her beloved"mamas" to cling to all weekend long. I think Grandma felt the same.

I had this weird feeling that I was looking at them all as teenagers, all crammed on a couch and investigating one of their birthday presents. Slow down, time.

Today, we said our final goodbyes to David George Knight. He was my uncle, but he was much more than that. I never got to meet my maternal grandparents, and he and his wife have always been exactly that to me. I am thankful for all of the good memories of him. His absence leaves a hole.

It was not a day for taking photos of my kids, although this is what I wish today could have looked like. There is always tomorrow.

Focusing on anything, especially photography, has been really difficult today. So, I'm looking back at recent photos of my kids and thinking about how blessed I am that they are in my life.

Sometimes, you just have to let go and let your two-year-old devastate the messiest cupcakes in the world. With a tea-towel bib, of course.

This little boy came into our lives four years ago. He was a little lamb right from the beginning, and he still is. We love his little woollen curls, his high voice, and his thoughtful nature. Happy birthday, Bean. We love you to the moon and back!

Doing girly things with Grandma is a very important part of any girl's childhood.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We'd really appreciate if you'd keep our family in your prayers. A loved one passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly today. Pray for his wife, his two grown children and their spouses, and his grandchildren as they mourn him.
Death is hard, and pain demands to be felt.
